2. Cullinan Diamond Mine



Cullinan is a small, well-preserved 19th-century mining town east of Pretoria. Founded in 1902 and named after the founder of the Premier Diamond Mine, Sir Thomas Major Cullinan, this quaint community of yesteryear consists of mining families, farmers, artists and, on weekends, bikers and families looking to escape to the country. The town is a romantic reminder of life in the times of early diamond mining in South Africa. Many of its miners’ houses have been converted into colourful, quaint shops and restaurants, creating an idyllic and intimate ambience.

Explore an underground or surface tour of the Premier Mine, opened in 1902, where the world’s biggest diamond was discovered in 1905 and produces nearly a quarter of the world’s gem diamonds of 400 carats and over.

3. Mamelodi Township Tour: African Traditional Museum 


Mamelodi is Tshwane’s largest township that played an important role in the opposition against Apartheid. The township was set up by the then apartheid government northeast of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established when 16 houses were built on the farm Vlakfontein in June 1953 and later the name changed to Mamelodi,  also meaning Mother of Melodies. 6. Voortrekker Monument 



Come and see the most visited heritage site of its kind in Gauteng and one of the top ten cultural historical visitor attractions in the country. 

The monument is in the shape of a big stone cube. The interior walls depict the story of the Great Trek, a mass movement of Afrikaner Boers who resented British rule. It commemorates the Pioneer history of Southern Africa and the history of the Afrikaner and is situated in a beautiful setting.

7. Horseriding at Voortrekker Monument

8. Zip-Lining



The Gorge Glide in Cullinan brings you zip-lining as you always imagined it should be; really long, breathtakingly high, extremely fast & exciting slides that leave you wanting more.
